We learned a lot about Autumn this week. We discussed the different colours that can be seen in Autumn, what happens to the leaves and the trees and also the weather we would typically see – thankfully we have had a few days of sunshine since we came back to school!

Water safety talk

Stonehall NS had a school talk on Wednesday from Water Safety Ireland. First and Second classes discussed and observed the pictures and completed activities after in the Hall. Everyone had great fun and also learned the dangers associated with water of all kinds!

PE games

We played some yard games as a warm-up activity outside. Unfortunately the weather didn’t hold, so we made our way to the hall where we finished off our session.

Stations

With the help of Ms. O’ Donoghue and Vicky, we set up our three stations. The Boys and Girls really enjoyed moving around the room between the three stations – Reading, writing and Phonics!
